Our trip to Marple was straight forward and despite a few rain drops , pleasant, here are a few pictures taken on route.
Strange looking craft, noticed just after Higher Poynton
A clever take on the Nautilus.
Some T.L.C. needed but you get the point, we are looking out for the narrow boat made to look like a U boat, sure our paths will cross one day.
A little further on we saw this WW2 pill box, Baz thinks it's similar to those story's of Japanese soldiers found on islands many years after the war, here a section of home guard sent to man the box, have clearly not been told of cessation of the war and have remained here, just made it a little more comfortable for themselves.
Archie has a bad hair day.
The boy knows what the tools on the table are for, his happiness is there for all to see.
He goes from this.
To this, in the blink of an eye.
Well one day it may be easy to clip ( butcher ) him, but not yet, the dog parlours are safe for the moment, after a hour and a half of clipping, moving him back into position, this was the end result, he thought it was all over, then Ali took him on deck for a well needed bath, some days it just doesn't go your way, he's warm clean and happy now.
On arriving at our Marple mooring we discovered we are two boats up from Taff on 'Stormbird' - he took one look at Archie and said " you want to sue whoever did that to you boy!"
We have come back to Marple for some food shopping and to do some photocopying. A couple of days sunshine is predicted so a walk into the hills might be nice.
Bye for now
Baz and Ali
Poor Archie!
