Our mooring is just outside the village centre, we can see the church from it, shop and pubs a two minute walk, so all in all ok.
We passed down 8 locks to get here, and as if rain and 8 locks wasn't bad enough, we had a miserable pair in a dodgy looking boat behind us all the way, usually if there are people travelling together, they all muck in and help each other along, and have a bit of a chat, picking up tips and news, not this pair, no talk, no help, stood looking over Ali's shoulder, meet all sorts on the cut.
OUR MOORING LAST NIGHT.
To the rear was ok, we just didn't fancy a whole weekend here.
And to the bow
After the rain comes..........a lot of drying of kit !!
Ali checks the phone for messages, her priority, at our new mooring.
OUR MOORING FOR TODAY.
To the rear
As we pull in and moor, the rain stops......of course.
And to the front, or pointy bit.
We plan to spend a couple of days here,we may be dry by then ! We are also looking forward to a visit from some family, and as it's Friday, a beer at the pub, this was a Shaftesbury tradition that needs to be revived.
Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.
Hi guys - I want to wish baz a happy birthday for tomorrow, we will be with you in spirit, even though our bodies are a bit too knackered to cope with another busy weekend, so we are having a chill out weekend!!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the car racing baz.
