Making A Splash

After a really nice Sunday with Chrissie, John and Ali's mum ( thanks again for the lovely roast lamb lunch ) we were visited by Kes and his family, together with the perfect setting and another sunny day, well we need a day off today!

The boat is again hot, well into the thirty's, much cooler to sit outside under the sun shade, the dogs are  struggling too, they keep looking for a cool spot that doesn't exist, if it did we would be there ourselves,so a cool river seems a good idea, and a bit of swimming practice is never a bad thing, given our current address. Bella swims quite well and makes for the bank immediately, Archie panics and stays in the same place waiting for the pull out he knows will come, still they seem cooler and more rested now, and me too, for a splash for me seemed in order, well lead by example.

Bella with safety line, makes for the bank

Baz's turn, he says its not cold but Ali isn't so sure

Come on in its GREAT !

Bella is concerned as no safety line is in evidence

Of course, while you are down there you could do a bit of boat admin Baz

We are looking into ways of getting down to Gavin and Katie to see baby Iris, the coach sounded good, but taking five and a half hours each way seemed a bit much for a day trip, the train involves a bus ride and a change of trains at Reading, and both only get you as far as Exeter, so it is starting to look like a car hire scenario again, hello marina ! Chrissie has offered to run Ali there, but she is so busy herself, it doesn't seem fair on her, so we will see.

Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.
