Shock ! .....Some Boats DO Move On The G U

We have had a great day, progress was slow due to the amount of locks, each one needed emptying first, but the sun was shining, so who cares. We have moored for the night in Cassiobury park, a nice wooded area, bit noisy with kids at the moment, parents are trying desperately to tire them out before taking them home.
We both thought the same thing on mooring, KINDLING ,  there is loads about, so a picking session is on the cards before we leave in the morning.
The amount of permanent moorers seen on the travel up here is both shocking and depressing, the C&RT have to get a grip, stop trying to empire build, they are not private industry, just get on with the job that they have been lucky enough to be given, maintain the water ways, this includes dredging, masonry repairs, the cutting of over hanging branches, etc, etc, it is pretty straight forward if you put your mind to it, moan over, honest ! Well for now.

Some of the err......more original continuous moorer  type boats

Well what do you say ?

Solutions seem easy

On A More Positive Note

The farm that Black Beauty was filmed at

It has felt like a long cruise today, every day is a little different, and we are in no rush, we have all that we want and need on board, well nearly all, ....  no BBQ ! Still Colin is lighting theirs, and we have again been invited to join them, beer anybody ?

Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.
