Bluebell Woods

Hi, Things have been a bit quiet, we have stayed in the marina for a few more days as a precaution due to Baz's mum going back into hospital. The weather too has been poor, resembling March rather than late May.
Today however the sun is shining and the sky blue, so a walk with the dogs in the nearby woods was order of the day. We have found access to good walks plentiful in this area, and the variety of walks too has been second to none. When we passed this area on the way up, we were breaking the ice with the boat ( ouch! ) now, well just look at today's pictures.

Despite the wind and rain over the last few days, the ground is dry

The paths are clear, with plenty of small trails leading to shady brooks and hollows.

Pays to look up too.

Of course, with sun comes some less desirable creatures.

Slightly off the beaten track we found this idyllic spot.

Out of the woods and into the meadows.

Jodrell bank, not far from the marina.

Well we took too many pictures to put them all on the blog ( well we could put more on but you would probably fall asleep) so these were some of our favourites. We here that the sun will shine again tomorrow, hope they are right.
We are just off to a garden centre with Baz's brother, to look for cocoa shells and a few plants to brighten the boat.
Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.
