It Sucks !

No not the Thames, what little we have seen, we like, it's our new battery powered vac that  sucks, we do have a mains powered vac, but we can only use it with the engine on, so either when cruising ( not the best time to be worrying about a bit of fluff ) or run a big thumping diesel engine just to power a vac for a few minutes, so a re chargeable 18v vac seems the answer, and initial results seem good.

We walked into Eynsham  pronounced  " en - shum " for a bit of shopping, and to meet some family for a cup of tea and a chat, Eynsham seems a funny village, more cars than people on the streets, and to make the place feel bigger, they have spread the shops all around the village,  the main attraction seems to be watching the double decker buses squeeze between parked cars and terraced housing, with one each way every 15 minutes, there is never a dull moment.
We are getting used to the width of the river, and of course a slight current ( slight at the moment ) boats can pass at speed without disturbing us, on the canal if they whip past, you get bumped into the side, this can be annoying, if the movement knocks your coffee pot off the cooker, then the so and so's better get out of shouting range P D Q.

We slept well last night night, despite the heat and the plink plonk of water lapping the sides of our boat, we woke to a grey sky, had to think hard to remember the last time we had no big blue over us. We like where we are so will stay until Monday at least.

Bye for now,
Baz and Nanny Ali.
