Gas..stronomy

As we thought a cold night, I thought we had covered everything that the cold may effect but forgot the gas, while cooking breakfast it ran out.....not a problem we have two bottles ....just switch over and on we can go.....no  the lid at the bow the covers the gas hole was frozen solid ( hole pronounced   'ole  is the word used for all things on narrow boats ie engine 'ole  bed 'ole store 'ole and so on )    so pour some warm  water on it to un-freeze it.....no warm water cos the gas has gone out, anyway we heated some water on the stove and were in business

We did have a partly frozen canal but a slight breeze kept in moving enough to stop a full freeze

Two wooden doors lead into the cratch seating area well they do on warmer days !!



We're preparing for another cold night, the fire is lit day and night which means we get up in the night to add fuel.
