Looking Ahead

We are here in Nametwihc ... ok we are still in Nantwich but thought it sounded better...if I could work out how it is supposed to sound without covering the screen in spit, Namewihc was the Celtic name for Nantwich in around ad 1194.

We thought we would take a good walk this morning to look at the conditions in front of us and hopefully tire the dogs out,we got as far as the canal junction with the Llangollen around a 5 mile round trip.
On the way we checked out the winding 'ole to see if we could find Ali's sense of humour lost there yesterday, so far no luck, a reward is not being offered at this point.

We also passed a couple towing their narrow boat backwards down the cut, their explanation was that the engine had made a funny noise and on checking they realised they had no fuel left, they turned down our offer of help and continued their plod - note to self check fuel before leaving!

Scene of yesterday's humour loss - now thawing illustrates how the canal widens to allow winding

Entrance to the Llangollen canal ,possibly a springtime exploration
The snow and ice here does seem to be thawing,we'll see what tomorrow brings.
Bye for now
Baz and Ali
