Coldplay

Woke up this morning and the cut was frozen again! We keep thinking spring has sprung and are proven wrong. As we were not planning a move it matters little to us but alas the poor confused duck below is wondering where the wet stuff has gone, sure he left it here last night!

We had a lovely e-mail from Carol and Syd who were worried that we would forget to get an Easter egg for Micky and Jay ( long story see early posts ) and of course to wish a happy Easter to us, well as you can see we had not forgotten at all! only the one between them unfortunately we think they are discussing the division of said egg in the picture, bunny is not happy at all with the arrangement.

After a leisurely breakfast we thought a walk up to the locks we plan to do tomorrow was a good idea, it's a flight of 12 but after that  we have about twenty miles of lock free cruising ( shouts of yippee from Ali the windlass wench ) and we should have some help from Chris and Dawn who have kindly volunteered their children Amber and Daniel to do the hard work!

As you can see the canal follows the contours of the area weaving to and fro ( the Romans would have been proud of Thomas Telford who laid out the route )

Cloud hill seen from of a strain free walk along the towpath, we hope to make it a day out walk on our way back. down the Mac.

We hope you all enjoy the Easter break, be sure that we will be eating as much chocolate as we can!
