Waiting for a window

Well......it was that time again - out came the comb and scissors, a newspaper was put on the floor, all the usual wriggling, head turning fuss commenced - no, not Archie or Bella but Baz's turn for a haircut!
A short back and sides was requested and delivered - of course although Ali did a Hairdressing course aeons ago - she never actually completed it. Baz requested that she cut 'the silver bits out' - well if she did that there wouldn't be much left.........
After more snowfall last night and a very cold wind today it's been a fairly quiet day on the boat. Ali went for the paper and a few groceries from the Co-op, while she was out Baz saw some folk, who had hired a Day boat from the nearby Marina, discovering the difficulties of boating in the wind - consequently they were stuck against the bank and didn't know what to do. Baz suggested that they pull over at a nice spot and have their lunch party from the safety of a mooring - they took his advice and seemed to be enjoying themselves, even though they only managed to travel about 800 metres from the Marina!
Prior to this we had seen other hire boats bumping into moored boats as the wind carried them sideways - not a great day for boating.

Baz tries to put a brave face on ---or is it a smile ?

We may have to wind and go back to the services tomorrow as we are nearly out of coal and may as well top up water etc too, that's if the wind has died down a bit.
Bye for now
Baz and Ali.
