What a Difference a Day Makes

Well after a sunny spring day yesterday, we went straight back to mid winter overnight, is was forecast for us but we didn't really believe it until we opened the curtains, our only clue was that the dogs were not putting any pressure on us to take them out early, it seems they can hear a snow flake fall!

we of course are warm, and if a little wind blown, safe, our one regret is not stocking up on coal, as we have the feeling that we may just need it, still will deal with that if it becomes a problem.
Ali is busy making bread and some cheese and onion rolls ( we still have not bought bread ) and the dogs are protecting the fire from any possible chance of theft. Taff passed by yesterday afternoon giving us a smile and a wave,so he is back in operation, he did pretty good time for a solo boater in his seventies ! he has moored the other side of the manor house, so will catch up with him when the weather improves.

Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.

  1. Hi Baz and Ali the pictures of the snow are SO beautiful; the weather is unseasonably cold for this time of year. We have a freezing easterly wind here, and David is not particularly looking forward to delivering Kleeneze stuff in an hour or so's time! We had a lovely evening yesterday out with co-workers in my Department in a pub/restaurant; hope us jolly teachers weren't too raucous for them! Lots of love, Sister R x
