Still Here....

Well we are still here, this is due to,

1.    It was raining first thing,
2 .   Ali had a stiff shoulder when she woke up and didn't fancy doing the two locks in front of us.

It has absolutely nothing, I repeat nothing, to do with the fact that the F1 practise starts today or that England play Wales in there final game of the six nations, and that I am worried we may move into a poor signal area.

BOAT SPOT

This is the cockpit of our semi trad boat, there are three main types of boat, the trad, the semi trad and the cruiser stern, we wanted a covered area ( pram hood ) where we could dry dogs, take wet coats off etc, a trad has very little space at the stern as the top hatch is fitted further back, giving more internal space and a cruiser stern is open deck from  where we have the inner doors, great for six people to stand around on, but not so good for two on a rainy day. As you can see from the photos it tends to get used for storage - we keep shoes in a plastic box tucked behind the inner hatch doors and there is additional storage space under the bench seats. We like to think the area is like a small porch or utility room but occasionally it resembles an unruly garden shed!
The pram hood itself has to be taken down for cruising and Barrie is now very quick at dismantling, then reassembling once we have moored up again.

A couple of Canada Geese pottering around outside the boat

It's been a pleasant, lazy day (although Baz did a 4 mile round trip on Shank's pony 'cos Ali wanted a Saturday paper!) Hopefully tomorrow will be dry and we'll pull pins and head for Middlewich.

Bye for now
Ali and Baz
