Salad Days

After spending a winter cruising in poor weather and being wrapped up from the cold, waiting for a hot soup or tea, today's early sunshine made us both say " sod the shopping, lets move and enjoy the sun ", so the canopy came down, the pins out, and we were off, as we are pointing towards Bollington, that's the way we went, the plan, if it could be called that, was to get into the countryside and moor in a nice spot with the sun on us and our panels,we think we have done alright.

The above are from the port side hatch, those with better eyes than us, will spot two deer  under the tree in the third picture. The other side of us is a hedge, and beyond still more countryside, so , quiet spot, sun on us and the solar panels, nice views -  result.

Salad Days.

We  have a bit of a debate as to what constitutes a "proper" salad, Ali thinks lots of green leafy things and no cooking, me , well has to have eggs, cheese and some meat of some description + nice bread and butter.

Well, who ever is right, lets hope we get lots of days of sun and try more of them!

Archie does his impression of Yoda sat on the roof, enjoying the sun.

We are not surprisingly seeing plenty of walkers, dog walkers and cyclists, in this nice weather, a regular question that is asked as we chat to some of them is " How much does a barge like this cost " after refraining from correcting the term " barge " it's  a hard question to answer quickly, for like buying almost everything, the range of prices are vast, you can pick up a project boat quite cheap, or have a custom built one for as little as £160,000, a bargain we are sure, but out of our league, then there are the running costs of course, so in short, the answer is " how much do you want to spend ? "

Well you have seen our lunch, and it needs eating before it gets too cold!! so we will sign off now.
Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.
