We had decided to go for a tilt and turn system, ugly beast, but as the sun won't always come to us, so we had to be able to track it's illusive progress through the day, we were managing well with our 200 watt system, in fact we have not needed to start the engine for a week, thanks to the good weather, however in the more typical British weather, the extra 200 watts with greater angle range, should be the ticket.
The first problem was finding a spot on the roof to fix it, we have a busy roof, not as bad as some, but space is at a premium, we agreed to locate them in a central position, after shuffling the roof boxes around , work started.
The panels and frame, after moving them up and down the roof, we agreed on here
Tim checks that we have the full 360 degrees of movement.
Set and waiting for the sun,........come on! I want to check them.
Ali is now back, not happy as she is wet and wind blown - her shopping list was made up of all the items she forgot when placing the online order yesterday. True to form Baz couldn't resist an opportunity for a leg pull and had added '20 lb lead weight' to the list, well there wasn't one to be found in Poundland that's for sure so she gave up and decided she had more than enough to carry!!
We are now warm and dry - fire had to be re-lit at Archie's request - as we are sitting down for a cuppa you can be sure that any minute the call will come from Mr Tesco and it will be all hand's on deck for the big grocery drop!
Bye for now
Baz and Ali
