Better Late Than Never

As we woke, both of us thought it must be very early, why ? It was still dull looking outside, and we had been promised sun ! But no, 6. 30 a.m. the sun had overslept, so convinced were we of this promised sunshine, Ali had persuaded me yesterday, to cut some grass on the bank, for her to put out a table and chairs to fully enjoy this  predicted phenomena, so disappointed were we both that only some boat admin could cheer us up, Ali floors and dust, and myself external brass, its a good we are not the dull types!
We took the dogs on a yomp to a marina, but as we could see no clear route over to it, did not go in, much to the relief of our bank balance.
After lunch our sun was delivered to site, so we took another walk into the village of Burston, set around a large duck pond, we thought  inspector Barnaby could turn up, such is the setting,

View of Burston village high street,It's all go here!

And from further round the pond, showing the church.

Micky Jay, seen from near the village, me playing with our new zoom lens.

A shot, illustrating, we think our peaceful mooring location, Micky is by the central trees.

Meadow between the village and the canal.

Sheep crossing a nearby bridge, best not to look for long, yawn!

We said that swans were good parents, these geese use a north sea convoy tactics to ensure safety of the young ones.

Keep up at the rear.

We are starting to wonder if our new composting loo smells a bit, and we are now immune to this aroma. When we turned up at this location yesterday, we were one of five boats, by nine o'clock this morning we were alone, one boat today slowed as if considering mooring, but then sped off again, so if you are reading this, maybe you should consider opening a window, just in case!

Bye for now,

Baz and Ali.
