Gotcha!

The photo of me with three tattoos, earring and goatee beard seems to have slipped by most of you, ( blog -  'Round the bend' ) some were unsure if it was all real, the Allen side of the family, not a peep, does this mean they no longer look at the blog, or they think it's no surprise, and perhaps suits me ? Yes Phil, they were plastic tattoos, the goatee was real hair, but from a recent hair cut, and the ear ring was just hanging on, I will consider it all for real, when I get a historic narrow boat, honest - and a pony tail!

Sunday was my birthday, Chrissie and John brought Ali's mum to the boat to see us, they were delayed for a while, as Chrissie had them looking along the canal for a blue boat, Micky is B.R, Green, we may have to change it to blue if it makes things easier. With them came a superb cake made by Ali's mum, alas not much left now, well it was fresh cream, so had to be eaten quickly, we can do quickly when it comes to cake.

We are still in Banbury at the moment, and are enjoying the novelty of being so close to a good shopping centre ( Ali is there at the moment, 3rd trip today ! ) We did a heavy item shop first, and managed to push the supermarket trolley all the way back to the boat, heaven. We were a little worried that it might be too noisy for us at night here, but no such problem, the park next to us was very busy, and understandably noisy in the excellent weather we had over the weekend, other than that fine, we are moving on in the morning though ( must get away from all these shops ) towards Oxford, we think !

Birthday treat, promise you it doesn't look like this now !

The centre moorings in Banbury, on the right bank are all the shops, and usually Ali.

We are just past the bridge, great for the dogs too, as a huge open park starts 4 feet from the boat.

Gavin and Katie, Ali sees this as a sign, and soon now !

Well, she is still not back from the shops, so I had better sign off, then I can phone the bank to stop the cards!

Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.

  1. I actually thought the beard was quite a good addition, Baz. Maybe give it a go?
