Let loose in Lechlade

We have been moored at Lechlade since Sunday, we like the mooring despite having to fight off cows, pay the farmer £ 4.00 a night for the privilege of doing so, and playing walk the plank, dodge the cow pat, and guess the height of the water tonight.
Lechlade being on a main road, is the sort of place you pass through commenting only on the inconvenient traffic lights when in a car, arriving by boat is far better, it has the shops we need, and several Aladdin's cave type of antique shops, that you can spend hours in, as well as money, and we did both, oh, and a rather good fish and chip shop ( 7 out of 10 ) the only problem is, all the cars waiting for the traffic lights !

Constantly moving, in and out, backwards and forwards, not to be taken lightly, our plank!

View from Ha'penny bridge, we are three down

Room upon room of  junk  antiques, you know the smell, and be careful the lot could fall down !

Historic market square, or the more modern name - car park!

So, we wind tomorrow, then start down the Thames, we don't have a plan other than that, decisions tend to be taken only when absolutely necessary, and even then only after a glass of wine,  and why not ! nothing happens too quickly on the boat ( apart from falling in ! ....ask the dogs ) we will keep you posted.

Bye for now,
Baz and Ali.
