On returning ( staggering ) to the boat I noticed a canal works boat moored in front of us and went for a chat with the occupant to see what was going on, it turned out that the lock 300 metres in front is closed for emergency repairs and won't be open until Friday, so we are stuck here tomorrow .
While chatting Archie explored the man's boat, a loud splash interrupted our conversation Archie had wandered down the narrow side of the boat, thought better of it, tried to turn and fell in ........... again !! He now leads Bella 3 - 1 in the water plunge league.

So it looks as though we have another 'day off' tomorrow but no doubt Ali will decide it's a boat 'admin' day - a good clean throughout the boat!
We are keenly watching the weather forecasts but no more of the white stuff coming we hope, as we are down to our last bag of coal until we get to a boatyard.
Bye for now
Baz and Ali
Such a great photo of Archie, not to mention a great story. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Phil, you'll be glad to know that Archie is now fully recovered and the smell is fading!
