We filled up with fuel and water etc at Aqueduct marina near church minshull then carried on until we found a mooring spot, the weather was not good so we stopped at the first likely looking place........it wasn't a particularly nice area although quiet and in the countryside the tow path was muddy we were in a dip, had no signal and to top it all Ali popped into the village to post some letters and was nearly knocked down by a stupid male driver who came round the corner too fast, had to panic brake due to Ali and oncoming traffic, he thought Ali should not be walking on a country road and was madly gesticulating at her, I would like to have inserted a windlass into his body and wound with great speed... the p....t
We decided to move on what ever the weather today and have arrived just outside Middlewich, our first task was the shopping now done and away, next we are having a roast meal to make up for yesterday ( a can of curry ...told you we were running out of food ! )
typical cheshire view from the boat. |
Our mooring at Middlewich...with dry path !!! |
