At Bunbury staircase lock John took a photo of the two of us together before we said our 'Goodbyes' - we are heading up the Middlewich branch of the Shroppie and John is Nantwich bound.
Thanks to John for all the help and advice of the last few weeks it has really given us a good start, especially in safely working the locks.
At Caverley we had a pit stop (Elsan, water etc.) then we pushed on as the rain clouds were starting to gather and we had about 45 minutes more to travel before our planned mooring just above Cholmondeston Lock. Mooring went smoothly - always nice when that happens! We are in a peaceful spot and looking forward to showers and a relaxing evening.
Action shot! Ali dices with death taking a pic of M.J. turning left onto Middlewich Branch - 2mph |
Nice pad on the bank en route |
Late afternoon view from the stern - our mooring for tonight |
Bye for now

Love the pic of the two of you! The mooring spot looks so tranquil, and you know one of these days it may well stop raining Lol! I have to be very careful when typing these comments as it is inclined to 'lock up' :-) . If you get a half finished one you will know why. Also the security code Is sometimes completely indecipherable. Well I ve been out getting a bit of fresh air on the bike John bought which has battery assistance, brilliant and more powerful than I expected when I put it on full I nearly fell off the back Haha.
ReplyDeleteLock up again! I wanted to add that I hope you have fair cruising tomorrow. I m going to get out the map again to see where your headed, All the best Chrissie Xx
