Quick is Painless?

We have dispelled the myth that " quick is painless " ( such as pulling plasters off etc ). As we are back in Nantwich the reason for Ali's determination to get here in one push soon became apparent as she mentioned the dreaded word ... SALE  and the possibility of saving some money, a sentiment she knows I will whole heartedly  back, though she failed to mention 'spend to save.'   So we set off to walk into  town Ali holding the debit card to save me having to carry it ( so thoughtful ) me walking a little behind.......hard to keep up she seems to be in a rush  wondering how little spend we can get away with to "save" some money, at the first shop EWM she left scorch marks on the the carpet floor and I knew the day was lost..........so 2 coats, 4 tops, 1 pair of jeans purchased in 45 minutes, we then found a chippy and sat down to fish 'n' chips and a much needed cup of tea!
Ali returns triumphant!
The rest of us look on in shock as Ali goes into an un-packing  frenzy......
On the way back from town we met a boater who mentioned that the Llangollen canal may well be re-opened ahead of schedule - if it does we will be in the queue at the first set of locks ( Hurleston junction).
Once again the weather is the topic of many boating conversations, more snow is forecast on Sunday, watch this space.....
Bye for now
Baz and Ali
