Solar so good

Today we are celebrating 4 months living on board Micky Jay, we had a lovely roast beef lunch at the 'Horse and Jockey' after a morning of 'boat admin'.
We are also celebrating the first time the solar panels have fully earned their keep. On waking up this morning our Amp hour counter was showing minus 23 amp hours and at time of writing, the panels have replaced all of yesterdays used battery power, which to us means we will not need to start the engine to re-charge the batteries today. The other good thing (beside free power) about the panels is that the batteries benefit from being trickle charged. We have been like kids with a new toy - taking turns checking the battery management system and calling down "5.2 amps, - 10 amp hours!" the other person usually replies, "how many volts?" Little things.........

There has been a such a clear blue sky today it's hard to believe it's February, it will be a bit of a shock when we get some more wintry days before Spring proper arrives - however the clocks go forward next month so we've got the lighter evenings to look forward to.
Bye for now
