As always our plan came together (ha) we were up early, and away, after a hastily prepared banana for breakfast we set off, Ali having to walk for the first mile to check ahead for on coming boats.This time we were running with the flow of water and the difference was easy to spot,on tickover only, we were moving faster than we did on the way up with twice the revs.We are through the tunnels and over the aqueducts ( big smiles all round ) now moored at Hindford again, on route we passed the Lion Quays hotel this will be of interest to Paul and Lindsey ( if you are still looking ) as they have a bit of a do here in the future.

We will miss the clear water on upper Llangollen and the walks too,the shops were helpful and friendly but we do think on the whole we are happy to be moving off it now, as for the aqueduct ...well I would love to be in the planning meeting if it was being proposed now, H&S would go mad ! I am told that after a few crossings it gets better, we will never know as we have no plans to try and find out!!
