Icy Reception

Sun has been forecast for today so we decided to stay put and enjoy it, and it has turned up ! Last night was the first night we have run the freezer without a power hook up, we are interested to find out if our solar panels will replace the 23 amp hours we used since mooring last night,we are watching the control panel, constantly changing the angle of the solar panels to their optimum, and we both wince every time a fridge or freezer motor clicks on. Ali had to go into the freezer for some meat for later, my suggestion that she immerse her hands in cold water for 10 Min's first was not well received,( I have decided to let this pass as I don't want to end up in a similar position as my hero Captain Bligh ) at the moment we still need another 10 amp hrs otherwise the engine will have to be fired up just to carry on the charge.
Archie rather pleased with himself for not only finding the sunniest spot on the boat, but from here he can see walkers on the towpath and give them a noisy reception .....unless we spot them first and silence the little...

Today's  Through The Galley Window
PORT SIDE.
STARBOARD SIDE
As you can see, we are pretty much in the middle of nowhere which we rather like when fully stocked, there is a pub a bit further along  10 Min's walk or so but we have no plans to visit it  (yet)  we may move on tomorrow as we aim to get on the Macclesfield canal next ( so watch out bruv ).
According to the weather forecast we will back to grey skies for the next few days, so not quite time to let the fire go out yet, still, along with a lot of other folk we are quite glad to see the back of February.

Bye for now

Baz and Ali

    1. Thanks for that - it doesn't bear close inspection!
