One Sided

Ali has walked back to Braunston to catch a bus to Rugby, the reason, get me some stronger hayfever remedies, I am having a bad time with it this year, which means everybody is having a bad time.

As the weather is good, hot and sunny at last, I am polishing the boats external areas, its unusual when cleaning a boat, for you can only do one side, or get very wet doing both, the down side of this is that you never get the feeling that the jobs done, that other half of the job is on your mind, waiting for the towpath to be on the other side, and the weather right to do it too, by the time you get there, the original side needs doing again! The up side, well I am knackered, and quite glad that half the boat is out of reach.

On this canal, we are seeing our first moving widebeam boats, these can be twice our width and must be a handful even on the wider canals, beyond our budget and skill level.

Very posh widebeam pulls in for diesel or more champagne.

This one we like, bit older but it's got some character, some of them can look very boring.

The historical boats are starting to arrive for the weekends rally, and all look fantastic.

If this was for sale, we would have it!

If Ali allows it of course.

Some boats need some work, and soon.

We do like this spot, but may move on tomorrow,we can always come back and moor here again, decisions, decisions, Napton on the hill next, we think ! will let you know!

Bye for now,
 Baz and Ali.
