A Typical No Move Day

A stay put day, is a chance to rest and enjoy wherever you are at that particular moment, though often they end up being boat admin days if you are not careful.

We woke as usual when the dogs felt like a walk, you become aware of their weight pressing down on you, and you open your eyes to see a happy Yorkie sat on you watching and waiting, if you are really unlucky or too slow a lick to the face has been known, ugh ! Ali usually does the walk while I get the boat ready for another day, bed away, coffee on etc. After a leisurely breakfast, Ali starts off a loaf of her delicious bread, I drop down the engine 'ole to check oil and belts and generally potter, before we know it, lunchtime is with us.
After lunch we take the dogs on a long walk, by the time we are back the afternoon is rapidly turning to early evening, we have not done a tenth of that planned or needed ! Better have another no move day tomorrow then.

The village of Kings Sutton, easy to see, not so easily got to, due to lack of footpath and speeding vehicles.

Mind you the towpath was no easy walk either, with overgrown hedge, and edges, only small dogs found it easy going.

Nice spot to run a narrow boat business, boat hire and services, and a pump out point, for those without composting loos.

Some boat names seem better than others, not one we like.

After a walk, comes a wash, not a dignified affair for dog or owner.

Our garden is doing well, we don't know how we find time to keep up with it !

We may move on tomorrow, though with lots of paint work to do before winter perhaps we should stay and get on with it, we will see how we feel in the morning and check the fresh food stocks before making a decision.

 Bye for now.
Baz and Ali.
