Who Sold The Sander ?

There are many items we brought with us when we moved onto the boat and our new life that we don't need -  the breadmaker for one. Many things we have stored that we wish we had here, our nice wine glasses and the ice cream maker, for example,  but the worst by far though is the stuff we need and either sold at silly prices or gave away, that we now need and will have to buy again ! A power sander is one such item that would now be handy as we start to paint the boat.
We have decided to stay here a few days, to enjoy it, and to get some time consuming tasks started, painting is probably the worst, if it's not the boring prep, it's the waiting for it to dry, and keeping small dogs feet off freshly painted deck.

Sutton lock ( just up from us ) empties, dogs best kept on a lead near locks, especially dogs that fall in a lot.

Getting loose paint and grease off the deck prior to painting.

A real work of art, grey to match Baz's hair ?  Hey where's the goatee gone?

Archie, banished to the roof box as paint goes on the deck.

Moor hens or Coots ?  Can't tell from here, living in the reeds opposite us.

Sun goes down last evening.

The dogs are enjoying having the canal towpath to themselves, well almost to themselves, the trouble is wherever we stop, they think  its their territory, and some people don't like a yappy dog protecting what they see as their garden.

Bye for now
Baz and Ali
